In this time of unprecedented isolation we wanted to invite you to walk with us. Our spiritual work together began in 2009 when Jonah was invited to give a talk at the congregation of the Christian Community in the Greater Washington D.C. area. Since that time we have been mutually fructifying our search to understand the most important event that has ever happened on earth: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
That’s why our first public endeavor born of this collaboration will be called Emmaus. This is the story of the two disciples on the road north from Jerusalem to the town of Emmaus. Deep in conversation about the events that have just happened on Good Friday, they are joined by a third traveler. Only He is able to help them understand all that has happened…
We want to continue that conversation, taking It up with renewed intensity this Easter, 2020, the year of the Pandemic. All the questions of life and death and the meaning and purpose of being a human being connect with these questions. We hope you receive some sense of being there with us on the road, and that some of the true solace, hope and enthusiasm may come to you that we have experienced through the power and reality of Christ.
